Still, the benefits are vast. Let’s imagine for a moment that they do figure a way to safely contain and mass produce hydrogen down to the point that we pay less for it at the pump than we do for our �regular unleaded� now.
Hydrogen, which is the most abundant gas in the universe, making up fully 75% of all atoms present, is the ideal fuel for us, not just today, but forever.
Our future space programs all depend on us ironing out this wrinkle, because hydrogen gas can be collected on any planet, anywhere, even out in empty space, making long-distance space travel possible.
What does this mean for you?
Assured research and development dollars. The automobile industry won’t be the only one interested in this technology, but it will definitely benefit from it.
Back to the present day, it is a very good sign that we are developing Hybrid Electric Cars, because the technology of these dual-powered wonder-machines are exactly what will be needed once the hydrogen problems are solved. Since the hydrogen is not simply ‘burned’ in the engine like gasoline is today, it will be converted into electricity and that electricity will be what moves the wheels on that generation of cars… There will be no noisy engine, just electric motors turning the wheels… Much like the Hybrid Cars of today.
The hybrids we drive now are the perfect next step in the evolution towards that future car. With that in mind, let’s begin choosing your modern-day dream car.
